Job description

Diagnosis: Using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify hardware and software issues in electronic devices. Chip Level Technicians analyze symptoms, perform tests, and isolate faults to determine the root cause of malfunctions. Component-Level Repair: Repairing electronic devices by replacing faulty or damaged components at the chip level. This involves soldering and desoldering individual components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using specialized tools and techniques. Board-Level Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting complex electronic circuits and PCBs to identify defective components, traces, or connections. Chip Level Technicians use oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other test equipment to analyze signals and measure voltage levels. Schematic Analysis: Reading and interpreting electronic schematics, diagrams, and datasheets to understand the functionality and interconnections of electronic components within a circuit. Chip Level Technicians use schematics to guide their troubleshooting and repair efforts. Software Debugging: Debugging firmware or software issues that may affect the functionality of electronic devices. Chip Level Technicians use debugging tools, firmware programming equipment, and software diagnostic utilities to analyze and fix software-related problems. Quality Control: Ensuring the quality and reliability of repaired electronic devices by performing thorough testing and validation procedures. Chip Level Technicians verify that repaired devices meet performance specifications and functional requirements before returning them to customers. Documentation: Maintaining detailed records, logs, and documentation of repair activities, component replacements, and troubleshooting steps.
