Job description

Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose faults in electronic devices, such as laptops, smartphones, tablets, motherboards, and other electronic equipment. Use schematics, diagrams, and testing equipment to locate defective components and circuits. Component-level Repair: Replace or repair faulty electronic components, such as integrated circuits (ICs), capacitors, resistors, transistors, diodes, and connectors. Use soldering irons, soldering stations, hot air rework stations, and other tools to desolder and solder components on circuit boards. Schematic Analysis: Interpret electronic schematics, circuit diagrams, and datasheets to understand circuitry, component interconnections, and signal flow. Analyze circuit designs to identify potential points of failure and troubleshoot complex issues effectively. Testing and Calibration: Perform functional tests, voltage measurements, and signal analysis using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and other testing instruments. Calibrate equipment, adjust settings, and verify proper operation to ensure accuracy and reliability. ESD Control: Follow electrostatic discharge (ESD) control procedures and guidelines to prevent damage to sensitive electronic components and circuits. Wear ESD-safe clothing, use grounded workstations, and employ antistatic handling techniques to minimize ESD risks. Software Diagnostics: Use diagnostic software tools and utilities to analyze software-related issues, firmware corruption, and system errors. Troubleshoot software problems, perform software updates, and restore device functionality as needed. Data Recovery: Retrieve data from damaged or malfunctioning electronic devices, storage media, or memory chips. Use specialized data recovery tools and techniques to extract, recover, and transfer data from inaccessible or corrupted files. Quality Control: Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure repaired devices meet performance specifications, functionality requirements, and safety standards. Perform final testing, validation, and verification before returning devices to customers. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of repairs, diagnostic findings, parts used, and testing results. Document repair procedures, service histories, and customer interactions for tracking, warranty purposes, and future reference. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on advancements in electronic technology, semiconductor devices, and repair techniques. Attend training sessions, workshops, and industry conferences to expand knowledge and skills in chip-level repair and microelectronics. Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and supervisors. Provide clear explanations, updates, and recommendations regarding repair options, costs, and timelines. Listen actively and address customer concerns or questions professionally. Problem-Solving Abilities: Analyze complex technical problems, identify root causes, and develop creative solutions.
