Kozhikode, Kerala Full Time Date: 24 May 2024

Job description

Diagnosis of Hardware Issues: Chip Level Technicians are proficient in diagnosing hardware problems in electronic devices such as laptops, desktop computers, smartphones, tablets, and other electronic gadgets. They use diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and schematic diagrams to identify faulty components. Component-Level Repair: Unlike standard technicians who often replace entire components, Chip Level Technicians repair electronic devices at the component level. This involves identifying and replacing individual integrated circuits (ICs), capacitors, resistors, transistors, and other electronic components on circuit boards. Soldering and Desoldering: Chip Level Technicians have expertise in soldering and desoldering electronic components using specialized tools and techniques. They solder new components onto circuit boards and desolder faulty components for replacement without damaging the surrounding circuitry. Knowledge of Electronics Theory: Chip Level Technicians have a deep understanding of electronics theory, including circuit design, digital and analog circuits, semiconductor theory, and signal processing. This knowledge helps them troubleshoot and repair complex electronic devices effectively. Reading Schematics and Circuit Diagrams: They are proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, circuit diagrams, and technical documentation provided by manufacturers. This enables them to understand the circuitry of electronic devices and identify the location and function of components. Testing and Calibration: Chip Level Technicians use various testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and function generators to test and calibrate electronic components and circuits. They verify the functionality of repaired devices and ensure they meet performance specifications. Data Recovery: In addition to hardware repair, Chip Level Technicians may perform data recovery on electronic devices with damaged storage media (e.g., hard drives, SSDs, memory cards). They use specialized tools and techniques to retrieve data from corrupted or physically damaged storage devices. Quality Control and Assurance: Chip Level Technicians perform quality control checks to ensure the reliability and integrity of repaired electronic devices. They test repaired devices under various conditions to verify functionality and identify any remaining issues. Continuous Learning and Adaptability: Given the rapid advancements in electronics technology, Chip Level Technicians must stay updated on new developments, repair techniques, and equipment. They continuously learn and adapt to changes in electronic devices and components to maintain their expertise. Safety Protocols: Chip Level Technicians adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with electronic devices and components. They handle hazardous materials such as lead-based solder and follow proper safety procedures to prevent accidents and protect their health.
