Understanding the balance of flavors (sweet, sour, salty, bitter, and spicy) is crucial in Chinese cuisine. Cooking Techniques: Mastery of various Chinese cooking techniques including stir-frying, steaming, braising, deep-frying, and roasting. Each technique brings out unique textures and flavors in the ingredients.
