Menu Planning: Creating menus that feature a variety of traditional Chinese dishes, taking into account regional specialties, seasonal ingredients, and customer preferences. Recipe Development: Developing and refining recipes for Chinese dishes, ensuring authenticity, flavor balance, and visual appeal. Food Preparation: Preparing and cooking Chinese dishes according to traditional recipes and culinary techniques, including stir-frying, steaming, braising, and deep-frying. Ingredient Selection: Selecting high-quality ingredients such as meats, seafood, vegetables, tofu, and noodles to use in Chinese dishes, and ensuring freshness and flavor. Sauce and Flavor Preparation: Creating flavorful sauces, marinades, and seasonings using ingredients such as soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, and Chinese spices to enhance the taste of dishes. Wok Skills: Mastering the use of a wok for cooking Chinese dishes, including controlling heat levels, tossing ingredients, and achieving the desired texture and flavor. Dim Sum Preparation: Preparing a variety of dim sum dishes such as dumplings, bao buns, spring rolls, and steamed buns, and ensuring consistency and quality in their presentation.
