Job description

Curriculum Development: Plan and develop instructional materials, lesson plans, and teaching strategies aligned with curriculum standards and learning objectives in chemistry education. Classroom Management: Create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment conducive to student participation and inquiry. Establish and maintain classroom rules, routines, and procedures to promote respect, collaboration, and academic excellence. Instructional Delivery: Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities. Use a variety of teaching methods, techniques, and resources, including lectures, demonstrations, experiments, simulations, multimedia, and technology tools. Chemical Concepts and Principles: Teach and reinforce concepts, principles, and theories in various areas of chemistry, such as atomic structure, chemical bonding, stoichiometry, kinetics, thermodynamics, and organic chemistry. Provide clear explanations, examples, and applications to help students understand and apply chemical concepts effectively. Laboratory Skills and Safety: Provide hands-on laboratory experiences and practical activities to develop students' scientific inquiry and experimental skills. Teach laboratory safety protocols, procedures, and best practices to ensure a safe and productive learning environment. Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Foster problem-solving skills through the analysis, interpretation, and application of chemical data and information. Encourage students to think critically, formulate hypotheses, design experiments, and draw conclusions based on evidence and reasoning. Chemical Reactions and Equations: Teach students to predict, balance, and interpret chemical reactions and equations. Demonstrate chemical reactions through experiments, simulations, and visualizations to help students understand reaction mechanisms and outcomes. Chemical Calculations and Quantitative Analysis: Teach students to perform calculations and quantitative analysis related to chemical reactions, concentrations, and stoichiometry.
