Job description

Curriculum Development: Designing and developing lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that align with chemistry curriculum standards and objectives. Instruction: Teaching various chemistry concepts, principles, theories, and techniques through lectures, demonstrations, experiments, and hands-on activities. Laboratory Work: Planning and conducting laboratory experiments and investigations to help students apply theoretical knowledge, develop practical skills, and understand scientific principles and methodologies. Safety Procedures: Ensuring that proper safety protocols and procedures are followed in the laboratory to minimize risks and ensure the well-being of students and staff. Chemical Safety: Educating students about chemical safety hazards, handling procedures, storage requirements, emergency protocols, and the safe use of laboratory equipment and materials. Chemical Reactions: Explaining the fundamentals of chemical reactions, including stoichiometry, kinetics, thermodynamics, equilibrium, and acid-base chemistry, and conducting experiments to illustrate these concepts. Atomic Structure: Teaching students about atomic structure, periodic trends, chemical bonding, molecular geometry, and intermolecular forces, and helping them understand the relationships between structure and properties of matter. Chemical Analysis: Introducing students to analytical techniques such as spectroscopy, chromatography, and titration, and teaching them how to analyze and interpret experimental data and results. Environmental Chemistry: Discussing the impact of chemistry on the environment, including pollution, climate change, sustainability, and green chemistry principles, and exploring solutions to environmental challenges. Chemistry in Everyday Life: Connecting chemistry concepts to real-world applications and phenomena, such as pharmaceuticals, food chemistry, household products, and industrial processes, to demonstrate the relevance of chemistry in daily life.
