Job description

Research and Development: Plan and conduct experiments to investigate chemical phenomena, develop new products, or improve existing processes. Design experimental procedures, select appropriate equipment and instruments, and analyze experimental data. Chemical Analysis: Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of chemical substances using various analytical techniques and instruments. Identify and characterize compounds, determine chemical compositions, and assess purity, concentration, and properties. Laboratory Techniques: Utilize standard laboratory techniques and procedures for handling chemicals, preparing solutions, and conducting experiments safely. Follow laboratory protocols, safety guidelines, and best practices to minimize risks and ensure accurate results. Instrumentation: Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, such as spectrophotometers, chromatographs, mass spectrometers, and NMR spectrometers. Calibrate instruments, troubleshoot technical issues, and perform routine maintenance as needed. Data Analysis: Analyze experimental data using statistical methods, software tools, and data visualization techniques. Interpret results, draw conclusions, and generate reports summarizing findings, observations, and recommendations. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures, observations, and results in laboratory notebooks or electronic databases. Prepare technical reports, research papers, or presentations for internal review, publication, or presentation at conferences. Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including scientists, engineers, and product developers, to support product development projects. Provide expertise on chemical properties, formulation design, and process optimization to achieve project goals. Quality Control and Assurance: Develop and implement quality control protocols and procedures to ensure the consistency, reliability, and safety of chemical products. Perform quality testing, validation, and verification activities to assess product compliance with specifications and standards. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety regulations, and environmental regulations governing the handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals. Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry standards affecting chemical research and manufacturing. Safety and Hazard Management: Identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks associated with chemical experiments, processes, and materials. Follow safety protocols, use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and implement safety measures to prevent accidents and injuries. Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Identify technical challenges, issues, or anomalies encountered during experiments or analyses. Apply scientific principles, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot problems, propose solutions, and optimize processes. Continuing Education and Professional Development: Stay informed about advancements in chemistry, new technologies, and emerging trends through literature review, continuing education, and participation in professional organizations, conferences, and workshops
