Process Design and Development: Designing and developing processes for the production of chemicals, fuels, pharmaceuticals, and other products. Chemical Reaction Engineering: Analyzing and optimizing chemical reactions and reactor systems to achieve desired reaction kinetics, yields, and selectivity. Chemical Engineers design reactors, catalysts, and process conditions to maximize conversion and minimize byproducts and waste. Process Simulation and Modeling: Using computer-aided tools and software to simulate and model chemical processes and systems. Chemical Engineers perform process simulations, sensitivity analyses, and optimizations to predict performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize process design. Process Optimization and Control: Implementing process optimization techniques and control strategies to improve process efficiency, stability, and safety. Unit Operations Design: Designing and optimizing unit operations such as distillation, extraction, filtration, and crystallization for separation and purification of chemical compounds.
