Job description

Installation: Installing CCTV cameras, monitors, recording devices, and associated equipment in commercial, residential, and industrial settings, following blueprints, diagrams, and installation guidelines. Cabling and Wiring: Running and terminating cables (such as coaxial cables, Ethernet cables, and power cables) for camera connections, ensuring proper routing, cable management, and adherence to safety standards. Configuration: Configuring CCTV cameras and recording devices, setting up camera angles, views, and recording settings, and ensuring proper alignment and functionality of camera systems for optimal surveillance coverage. Testing and Commissioning: Testing and commissioning CCTV systems to verify proper installation, camera functionality, video quality, and network connectivity, and making adjustments or troubleshooting issues as needed. Integration: Integrating CCTV systems with other security systems and technologies, such as access control systems, alarms, and video management software, to provide comprehensive security solutions for clients. Maintenance and Upkeep: Performing routine maintenance tasks on CCTV systems, including cleaning camera lenses, adjusting camera positions, replacing faulty components, and updating firmware or software as required. Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues with CCTV systems, such as camera malfunctions, video loss, network connectivity issues, and recording problems, and implementing corrective actions to restore functionality. Customer Support: Providing technical support and assistance to customers, including responding to service calls, inquiries, and requests for repairs, and offering guidance on system operation, maintenance, and usage. Documentation: Maintaining accurate records, logs, and documentation of CCTV installations, service calls, equipment inventory, and maintenance activities, and preparing reports and documentation for clients and management. Compliance and Regulations: Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices for CCTV installation and operation, including privacy laws, data protection regulations, and local building codes. Skills: Technical Aptitude: Strong technical aptitude and proficiency in CCTV systems, including knowledge of camera types, lenses, resolutions, recording devices, and network configurations. Electrical Knowledge: Understanding of electrical principles and wiring techniques for power and data transmission in CCTV installations, including knowledge of voltage, current, resistance, and basic electrical safety practices. Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with CCTV systems, using testing equipment, diagnostic tools, and problem-solving methodologies to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
