Job description

Installation and Setup: Install CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR systems, and related equipment at customer locations, ensuring proper positioning and functionality. Configure CCTV systems based on customer requirements and site-specific conditions, such as indoor or outdoor settings. Cabling and Wiring: Run cables (e.g., coaxial cables, Ethernet cables) for CCTV cameras and ensure proper routing and connection to DVR/NVR units. Terminate cables, connectors, and power supplies according to industry standards and installation guidelines. System Testing and Commissioning: Perform system testing to verify camera functionality, video recording, and remote viewing capabilities. Adjust camera angles, focus, and settings to optimize video quality and surveillance coverage. Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance checks on CCTV systems to ensure proper operation and reliability. Troubleshoot and diagnose CCTV equipment issues, such as camera malfunctions, DVR/NVR errors, or network connectivity problems. Upgrades and Expansion: Upgrade CCTV systems by replacing outdated equipment, installing new cameras, or expanding coverage areas. Recommend enhancements or additional features to improve security and surveillance effectiveness. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Prepare service reports and documentation for customers, detailing work performed and recommendations for system improvements. Customer Support and Training: Provide technical support to customers regarding CCTV system operation, troubleshooting steps, and remote viewing setup. Train end-users on how to use CCTV systems effectively and securely manage video footage. Skills and Qualifications: Technical Expertise: Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR systems, and related equipment. Knowledge of Security Systems: Understanding of security protocols, video surveillance principles, and CCTV technology standards. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose issues, analyze complex problems, and implement effective solutions. Attention to Detail: Precision in camera placement, cable routing, and system configuration to achieve optimal performance. Communication Skills: Clear communication with customers and team members to convey technical information and instructions. Safety Awareness: Adherence to safety guidelines and protocols while working with electrical components and heights (for outdoor installations).
