Job description

Customer Service: Greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner. Providing assistance and answering inquiries about products, services, or store policies. Payment Processing: Operating cash registers, scanners, and other equipment to process transactions accurately and efficiently. Accepting cash, credit cards, debit cards, and other forms of payment from customers. Transaction Accuracy: Ensuring all transactions are processed correctly, including calculating totals, applying discounts or promotions, and issuing receipts. Handling exchanges and refunds according to company policies and procedures. Cash Handling: Counting and reconciling cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accurate amounts of cash and coins. Following cash handling procedures to minimize errors and maintain security. Sales Support: Upselling or cross-selling products and services to customers based on their needs or preferences. Promoting store loyalty programs, special promotions, or sales events. Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization: Keeping checkout areas clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., bags, receipt paper). Monitoring and replenishing merchandise displays near the checkout area. Security and Compliance: Following security procedures to prevent theft and ensure the safety of cash and transactions. Adhering to company policies and legal regulations regarding age-restricted products, payment methods, and privacy. Communication: Communicating effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors to resolve issues or escalate concerns as needed. Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service. Shift Management: Managing shift changes and breaks effectively to maintain continuous service for customers. Reporting any discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, or operational issues to supervisors promptly.
