Job description

Cash Handling: Processing cash, credit, debit, and other forms of payment from customers accurately and efficiently. Counting money, balancing cash drawers, and reconciling transactions at the end of each shift or day. Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns or complaints. Ensuring a positive customer experience by maintaining a friendly and courteous demeanor. Point of Sale (POS) Operations: Operating electronic scanners, cash registers, and POS systems to process transactions. Scanning goods, ensuring accurate pricing, and applying discounts or promotions as needed. Sales Reporting and Documentation: Recording sales transactions, issuing receipts, and maintaining sales records. Generating reports on sales activities, transactions, and cash balances for management review. Product Knowledge: Familiarity with store products, services, and promotions to assist customers effectively and provide product recommendations. Security and Compliance: Following security protocols and procedures to prevent theft and ensure the safety of cash and transactions. Adhering to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to cash handling and customer transactions. Skills and Qualifications: Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic math and numerical skills to handle transactions and calculate change accurately. Attention to Detail: Accuracy in counting money and processing transactions to minimize errors. Communication Skills: Effective verbal communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues. Customer Focus: Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and resolving customer issues promptly.
