Job description

Payment Processing: Process guest payments for various resort services, including accommodations, dining, activities, and retail purchases. Accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, and other forms of payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payment processing procedures. Point of Sale (POS) Operations: Operate POS systems or cash registers to record transactions, calculate totals, and generate receipts for guests. Scan barcodes, enter product codes, and apply discounts or promotions as necessary. Cash Handling: Count cash at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure accuracy and balance. Handle cash transactions securely, including providing change to guests and depositing cash in designated safes or cash drawers. Customer Service: Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service to guests at the cashier counter or checkout area. Address guest inquiries, resolve issues, and assist with special requests to enhance the guest experience. Product Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of resort services, amenities, and pricing to effectively answer guest questions and make recommendations. Provide information on promotions, packages, and discounts to encourage upselling and cross-selling opportunities. Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of daily sales transactions, including cash, credit card, and voucher payments. Reconcile sales totals with cash and payment receipts at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies to management. Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management tasks, such as monitoring stock levels, restocking merchandise, and conducting inventory counts as needed. Collaborate with retail or food and beverage staff to ensure adequate product availability. Compliance and Regulations: Adhere to resort policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to cash handling, payment processing, and financial transactions. Follow security protocols to prevent fraud, theft, or misuse of funds. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other resort staff members, including front desk agents, retail associates, and food and beverage servers, to coordinate guest services and ensure a seamless guest experience. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to address any issues or concerns. Training and Development: Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance cash handling skills, POS system proficiency, and customer service techniques. Stay updated on industry best practices and compliance standards related to cashier duties. Safety and Security: Maintain a safe and secure work environment for guests and staff by following safety protocols, such as proper cash handling procedures, maintaining awareness of surroundings, and reporting any suspicious activities or incidents to management or security.
