Job description

Cash Handling: Processing cash, credit card, and debit card transactions accurately and efficiently. Counting cash at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure amounts are correct and balanced. Customer Service: Greeting customers and assisting them with inquiries related to payments, products, and services. Resolving customer complaints or issues related to transactions in a professional and courteous manner. Sales Transactions: Scanning items and processing sales transactions using point-of-sale (POS) systems or cash registers. Verifying prices and ensuring accuracy of pricing and discounts applied to purchases. Payment Processing: Accepting various forms of payment, including cash, checks, credit cards, and electronic payments. Processing refunds or exchanges according to company policies and procedures. Account Reconciliation: Reconciling cash drawer at the end of each shift or day to ensure accurate record-keeping. Reporting any discrepancies or issues with transactions to management promptly. Financial Reporting: Recording sales transactions and preparing daily sales reports or summaries. Providing accurate financial information to management for reporting and decision-making purposes. Customer Interaction: Providing friendly and efficient service to enhance the customer experience. Educating customers about products, services, promotions, and loyalty programs as needed. Security and Compliance: Adhering to company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, credit card transactions, and customer privacy. Maintaining confidentiality of customer information and transaction details. Team Collaboration: Collaborating with sales associates, service advisors, and other departments to facilitate smooth operations and customer service delivery. Communicating effectively with colleagues to address customer needs and resolve issues. Inventory Management: Assisting with inventory control by monitoring stock levels and communicating inventory needs to management. Performing inventory counts or audits as required to ensure accuracy and availability of products. Training and Development: Participating in training sessions and workshops to enhance product knowledge, sales skills, and cashiering abilities. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and changes in payment processing technology. Safety and Compliance: Ensuring a safe and clean work environment by following safety protocols and procedures. Complying with health and safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety among team members.
