Job description

Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to inquiries, and provide assistance with purchases. Ensure high standards of customer service by being courteous, helpful, and attentive to customer needs. Transaction Processing: Scan items, enter prices, and calculate totals using electronic or manual cash registers. Accept cash, credit/debit cards, vouchers, or other forms of payment and provide accurate change. Cash Management: Count and reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accurate balance. Handle cash transactions securely and follow procedures for cash handling and reconciliation. Product Knowledge: Familiarize oneself with products or services sold to answer customer questions and promote additional sales. Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep checkout areas clean, organized, and free of clutter. Ensure proper arrangement of products at checkout for efficient scanning and packing. Security and Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, refunds, exchanges, and returns. Follow security measures to prevent theft, fraud, and other risks to store assets and customer information. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other store personnel, such as sales associates and supervisors, to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service. Reporting and Documentation: Record sales transactions and generate receipts or invoices for customers. Compile daily, weekly, or monthly sales reports as required by management.
