Ensuring Accuracy: Cashiers ensure the accuracy of transactions by carefully scanning or entering items, verifying prices, and double-checking totals before finalizing sales. They reconcile cash drawers at the beginning and end of their shift to ensure that all transactions balance correctly. Handling Returns and Exchanges: Cashiers process returns, refunds, exchanges, or store credits for merchandise that customers wish to return or exchange. They follow established return policies and procedures, inspect returned items for damage or wear, and process refunds or adjustments accordingly. Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization: Cashiers keep their workstation clean, organized, and well-maintained to provide a pleasant shopping experience for customers.
