Diagnostic Testing: Cardiology technicians perform various diagnostic tests and procedures to assess cardiac function and identify cardiovascular abnormalities. Patient Preparation: They prepare patients for cardiac procedures by explaining the purpose of the test, obtaining medical history, and ensuring that patients are comfortable and informed throughout the process. This may involve positioning patients, attaching electrodes or sensors, and monitoring vital signs. Equipment Operation: Cardiology technicians operate and maintain specialized medical equipment used in cardiac testing and monitoring. This includes electrocardiography machines, echocardiography equipment, stress test machines, and cardiac catheterization equipment. Data Collection and Analysis: They collect and analyze data obtained from cardiac tests and procedures, such as ECG tracings, echocardiogram images, and stress test results. Quality Control: Cardiology technicians perform quality control checks on equipment and test results to ensure accuracy and reliability.
