Job description

Curriculum Development: Develop and design curriculum materials, lesson plans, and instructional resources for teaching biology. Align curriculum with educational standards and learning objectives to ensure comprehensive coverage of biological concepts, principles, and skills. Concept Instruction: Teach students biological concepts, theories, and processes through engaging and interactive lessons. Introduce topics such as cell biology, genetics, evolution, ecology, anatomy, physiology, and microbiology using real-world examples, laboratory investigations, and multimedia resources. Laboratory Instruction: Provide laboratory instruction and hands-on learning experiences to help students develop scientific inquiry skills, experimental design, and data analysis techniques. Supervise laboratory activities, ensure safety protocols are followed, and provide guidance on proper lab techniques and procedures. Ecological Exploration: Explore ecological principles and environmental science concepts through the study of ecology. Teach students about ecosystems, biodiversity, conservation, and environmental sustainability to foster an understanding of the interdependence of living organisms and their environments. Genetic Analysis: Educate students on genetic principles and molecular biology concepts. Introduce topics such as DNA structure and function, Mendelian genetics, genetic engineering, and biotechnology to help students understand the role of genetics in heredity, evolution, and biotechnology applications. Evolutionary Studies: Examine evolutionary processes, mechanisms, and patterns through the study of evolution. Teach students about natural selection, adaptation, speciation, and evidence for evolution to foster an understanding of the diversity of life and the mechanisms of evolutionary change. Physiological Systems: Explore physiological systems and functions of living organisms through the study of anatomy and physiology. Teach students about organ systems, homeostasis, cellular respiration, photosynthesis, and other biological processes to help students understand the structure and function of living organisms. Health Education: Promote health literacy and wellness education by teaching students about human health, disease prevention, and lifestyle choices. Explore topics such as nutrition, exercise, human anatomy, disease transmission, and public health initiatives to empower students to make informed decisions about their health and well-being. Scientific Inquiry: Guide students in developing scientific inquiry skills, critical thinking abilities, and problem-solving strategies to investigate biological questions and phenomena.
