Job description

Curriculum Development: Designing and developing comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials that cover various biological topics, including cell biology, genetics, evolution, ecology, physiology, and anatomy, in alignment with educational standards and objectives. Subject Mastery: Demonstrating a deep understanding of biological concepts, principles, and theories, and effectively conveying them to students through engaging and interactive teaching methods. Laboratory Instruction: Providing hands-on laboratory experiences that allow students to explore biological phenomena, conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and draw conclusions, fostering inquiry-based learning and critical thinking skills. Field Trips: Organizing field trips to natural habitats, botanical gardens, zoos, aquariums, or research institutions to provide students with firsthand experiences and observations of biological processes and biodiversity. Environmental Awareness: Promoting an understanding of environmental issues, sustainability, conservation, and biodiversity, and encouraging students to become responsible stewards of the planet. Current Research: Integrating current research findings, scientific discoveries, and advancements in biology into the curriculum to expose students to cutting-edge knowledge and inspire their interest in scientific inquiry and exploration. Multimedia Resources: Incorporating multimedia resources such as videos, simulations, interactive models, and digital textbooks to enhance teaching and learning experiences and accommodate diverse learning styles and preferences. Assessment and Evaluation: Assessing students' understanding and mastery of biological concepts through quizzes, tests, projects, lab reports, and other forms of assessment, and providing timely feedback to support their learning and growth. Collaboration: Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to support student learning, share best practices, and address individual student needs or concerns. Professional Development: Engaging in continuous professional development activities such as attending workshops, conferences, and seminars, pursuing advanced coursework or certifications in biology education, and staying updated on advancements in biological research, pedagogy, and technology.
