Payment Processing: Billing staff process payments received from customers, recording transactions accurately in accounting systems or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software. They reconcile payments with invoices and update accounts receivable records accordingly. Account Reconciliation: They reconcile customer accounts to ensure payments are applied correctly and outstanding balances are resolved. Billing staff may investigate discrepancies, resolve billing disputes, and communicate with customers to facilitate timely payments. Customer Communication: Billing staff interact with customers regarding billing inquiries, payment reminders, and account statements.
