Job description

Mixing and Serving Drinks: Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, mocktails, beers, wines, and other beverages according to customer preferences and established recipes. Menu Knowledge: Have a comprehensive understanding of the bar menu, including cocktail recipes, ingredients, and presentation, and be able to make recommendations to customers based on their preferences. Customer Service: Provide friendly and attentive service to customers, greet them warmly, take drink orders, engage in conversation, and ensure that they have an enjoyable and memorable experience at the bar. Beverage Presentation: Ensure that drinks are prepared and served in a visually appealing manner, garnished with appropriate garnishes, and presented in clean and polished glassware. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage bar inventory, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies, and place orders to replenish stock as needed to ensure that ingredients are always available. Cash Handling and Transactions: Handle cash and process credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all sales are recorded correctly and that customers receive correct change and receipts. Bar Maintenance: Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times, including cleaning and polishing glassware, wiping down surfaces, and restocking bottles and supplies. Knowledge of Alcoholic Beverages: Have a thorough knowledge of different types of spirits, liqueurs, wines, and beers, including their flavor profiles, origins, and production methods, to provide guidance and recommendations to customers. Mixology Skills: Master a variety of mixing techniques, such as shaking, stirring, muddling, and layering, to create well-balanced and flavorful cocktails with the perfect balance of flavors and textures. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices, sanitation guidelines, and legal drinking age restrictions, to ensure a safe and responsible drinking environment. Upselling and Promotion: Promote special drinks, promotions, or events to customers, and upsell premium or specialty beverages to increase sales and revenue. Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with other bar staff, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations, communicate effectively to coordinate orders and service, and support each other during busy periods. Continuous Learning: Stay informed about current trends and developments in the beverage industry, attend training sessions or workshops to improve skills and knowledge, and experiment with new ingredients and techniques to enhance the bar's offerings.
