Job description

Staff Management: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise bar staff, including bartenders, barbacks, and servers, to ensure efficient and effective service. Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and support to foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork. Inventory Control: Monitor and manage bar inventory, including liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, and supplies. Implement inventory control systems to track stock levels, minimize waste, and prevent shrinkage. Place orders with suppliers to replenish stock as needed while optimizing inventory turnover and profitability. Menu Development: Collaborate with the management team and bartenders to create and update the bar menu, including cocktails, mocktails, beers, wines, and specialty drinks. Develop creative and innovative drink recipes and presentations that appeal to the target clientele and align with current trends. Quality Control: Ensure that all beverages are prepared and served according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines. Conduct regular taste tests and quality checks to maintain consistency and uphold high-quality standards. Customer Service: Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service, greeting guests warmly, engaging with them in conversation, and addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally. Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that encourages repeat business and positive word-of-mouth. Financial Management: Develop and manage the bar's budget, including sales projections, cost analysis, and expense control. Monitor sales and revenue performance, analyze financial reports, and implement strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining high-quality standards. Promotions and Marketing: Plan and execute promotional events, happy hours, themed nights, and other marketing initiatives to attract customers and drive sales. Utilize social media, email marketing, and other channels to promote the bar and engage with customers online. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices, sanitation guidelines, and age verification procedures. Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain a safe and clean environment for staff and customers. Vendor Relations: Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and vendors to negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and promotions. Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and market developments to make informed purchasing decisions and enhance the bar's offerings. Training and Development: Provide ongoing training, education, and professional development opportunities for bar staff to improve their skills, knowledge, and performance.
