Human Resources (HR): The HR department is part of the back office and is responsible for tasks such as recruiting and hiring employees, administering payroll and benefits, managing employee records, and handling employee relations issues. They ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies. Accounting and Finance: Back office staff in the accounting and finance department manage financial transactions, maintain financial records, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. They handle tasks such as invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, and financial analysis. IT Support: The IT department provides technical support and maintenance for the organization's computer systems, networks, software, and hardware. They troubleshoot technical issues, install updates and patches, manage security protocols, and implement IT policies and procedures to safeguard data and infrastructure. Operations: Back office operations staff manage the internal processes and systems that support the organization's core business activities. This may include tasks such as inventory management, order processing, logistics coordination, and supply chain management.
