Job description

Patient Consultation and Assessment: Conducting initial consultations with patients to assess their health history, current symptoms, and lifestyle factors. This includes using Ayurvedic techniques such as pulse diagnosis (Nadi Pariksha) and dosha assessment to determine the individual's constitution (Prakriti) and imbalances (Vikriti). Therapeutic Treatments: Administering Ayurvedic therapies and treatments tailored to the patient's specific needs and health conditions. This may include: Panchakarma Therapies: Performing detoxification treatments such as Vamana (therapeutic vomiting), Virechana (purging), Basti (enema), Nasya (nasal therapy), and Raktamokshana (bloodletting). External Therapies: Providing external therapies such as Abhyanga (oil massage), Shirodhara (oil pouring on the forehead), Pinda Sweda (herbal bolus massage), and Swedana (herbal steam therapy). Herbal Treatments: Prescribing and applying herbal preparations such as powders, pastes, oils, and decoctions for internal and external use. Diet and Lifestyle Guidance: Educating patients about Ayurvedic dietary principles and recommending dietary modifications, herbal supplements, and lifestyle practices to support their healing process and promote overall well-being. Yoga and Meditation: Incorporating yoga postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation practices tailored to the patient's constitution and health goals to enhance physical, mental, and spiritual balance. Patient Education: Providing information to patients about Ayurvedic principles, the benefits of treatments, and self-care practices they can incorporate into their daily lives to maintain health and prevent illness. Hygiene and Safety: Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained in treatment rooms, equipment, and therapeutic materials used during sessions. Adhering to infection control protocols to promote a safe environment for patients. Documentation and Record-keeping: Keeping accurate records of patient consultations, treatment plans, progress notes, and any relevant medical information in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Collaborating with Ayurvedic doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic patient care. Communicating patient progress, concerns, and recommendations as appropriate. Continuing Education: Participating in workshops, seminars, and continuing education programs to stay updated with advancements in Ayurvedic medicine, therapeutic techniques, and healthcare practices. Ethical Practice: Adhering to ethical standards and guidelines set by Ayurvedic professional organizations and regulatory bodies. Ensuring patient confidentiality, informed consent, and practicing within legal boundaries.
