Job description

Patient Care and Assessment: Provide holistic nursing care based on Ayurvedic principles, considering the patient's unique constitution (Prakriti) and current imbalances (Vikriti). Ayurvedic Treatment Assistance: Assist Ayurvedic doctors or practitioners in administering treatments such as herbal therapies (including churnas, kwathas, and tailas), detoxification procedures (Panchakarma), and therapeutic massages (Abhyanga). Health Education: Educate patients and their families about Ayurvedic lifestyle practices, dietary recommendations, and self-care techniques to support healing and promote overall well-being. Medication Administration: Administer Ayurvedic medicines and supplements according to prescribed dosages and schedules. Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects. Patient Monitoring and Assessment: Monitor patients' progress and response to Ayurvedic treatments. Conduct regular assessments of vital signs, symptoms, and overall health status. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, treatments administered, medications given, and patient responses. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with legal and ethical standards. Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Collaborate with Ayurvedic doctors, practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans, discuss patient progress, and adjust treatment protocols as necessary. Support During Therapeutic Procedures: Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients undergoing Ayurvedic therapies or procedures. Ensure patients are comfortable and informed throughout their treatment experience. Health Promotion and Wellness Counseling: Promote preventive health measures and wellness practices based on Ayurvedic principles. Empower patients to make informed choices about their health and lifestyle. Safety and Infection Control: Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures in the administration of treatments, handling of equipment, and disposal of waste materials. Continuing Education and Training: Stay updated with advancements in Ayurvedic nursing practices, therapies, and treatments. Participate in continuing education programs and workshops to enhance clinical skills and knowledge. Cultural Sensitivity and Respect: Respect cultural beliefs and practices related to health and healing. Provide culturally competent care that honors patients' preferences and values.
