Job description

Curriculum Development: Designing and developing aviation-related curriculum, courses, and training programs that align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in aviation education. Instruction and Delivery: Delivering engaging and interactive lectures, seminars, workshops, and flight training sessions on aviation topics, including flight theory, aircraft systems, navigation, meteorology, air traffic control, safety procedures, and aviation regulations. Flight Training: Providing hands-on flight training and instruction to students in flight simulators or actual aircraft, including flight maneuvers, takeoffs, landings, navigation exercises, emergency procedures, and aircraft handling skills. Ground School Instruction: Conducting ground school instruction covering topics such as aerodynamics, aircraft performance, aviation weather, navigation techniques, aviation regulations, and aviation safety, to prepare students for written exams and practical flight training. Safety Management: Promoting a culture of safety and adhering to safety protocols, procedures, and best practices in all aspects of aviation training, flight operations, and aircraft maintenance, and instilling safety awareness and risk management skills in students. Flight Planning and Operations: Assisting students in flight planning activities, including route planning, weather analysis, aircraft performance calculations, weight and balance considerations, and airspace awareness, to ensure safe and efficient flight operations. Flight Simulation: Supervising and facilitating flight simulation exercises and scenarios in flight simulators, providing feedback and guidance to students, and simulating various flight conditions, emergencies, and scenarios to enhance pilot proficiency and decision-making skills. Flight Test Preparation: Assisting students in preparing for flight tests, checkrides, and certification exams, including conducting mock exams, reviewing oral exam topics, and administering flight proficiency assessments to evaluate student readiness and competence. Professional Development: Engaging in ongoing professional development activities, such as attending aviation conferences, seminars, workshops, and training courses, to stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in aviation technology and education. Student Mentorship: Providing mentorship, guidance, and support to students throughout their aviation training journey, offering academic advising, career counseling, and assistance with job placement, internships, or networking opportunities in the aviation industry.
