Performs supervisory responsibilities by overseeing skilled mechanics and workers maintaining automobile and truck vehicles. Supervises independently and in harmony with the automotive shop foreman and communicates with the superiors and subordinates. Manages staff and operations of a technical area to include scheduling time, managing performance, supply and logistics, identifying training needs, and providing recommendations for personnel actions. The individual is responsible for work assignment to technicians on shop floor depending upon their skills and supervising service, repair and maintenance operations of the vehicle as per OEM guidelines within the expected time and cost to ensure minimum repeat complaints.
