Team Management and Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the work of automotive technicians, mechanics, and service advisors, ensuring adherence to service standards, safety protocols, and productivity targets. Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and schedule work assignments to optimize workflow and resource allocation within the technical team. Technical Guidance and Support: Provide technical expertise, guidance, and troubleshooting assistance to automotive technicians and mechanics, assisting with complex repairs, diagnostic challenges, and technical inquiries. Mentor and coach team members on best practices, repair techniques, and use of diagnostic equipment to enhance their skills and proficiency. Quality Control and Assurance: Monitor the quality and accuracy of automotive repairs, maintenance services, and diagnostic procedures performed by technicians, conducting regular inspections and quality checks. Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications, service manuals, and industry standards in all technical operations to uphold quality and safety standards. Diagnostic Analysis and Problem Solving: Review diagnostic reports, vehicle inspection findings, and customer complaints to identify root causes of automotive issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions. Collaborate with technicians and service advisors to develop diagnostic strategies, prioritize repairs, and address customer concerns effectively. Parts and Inventory Management: Oversee the procurement, storage, and usage of automotive parts, tools, and supplies within the workshop, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely replenishment of inventory. Implement inventory control measures, such as stock rotation, bin labeling, and parts tracking systems, to minimize stockouts, excess inventory, and parts obsolescence. Workflow Coordination and Efficiency: Coordinate service appointments, work orders, and repair schedules to optimize workshop efficiency and meet customer service expectations. Streamline workflow processes, technician assignments, and equipment utilization to maximize productivity and minimize turnaround times for vehicle repairs. Equipment Maintenance and Calibration: Ensure the proper maintenance, calibration, and operation of automotive diagnostic equipment, tools, and machinery used in the workshop. Schedule routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and equipment servicing to keep tools and equipment in optimal condition and minimize downtime. Safety Compliance and Training: Enforce safety protocols, hazard identification, and risk mitigation measures within the workshop environment, promoting a culture of workplace safety and accident prevention. Conduct safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and equipment demonstrations to educate technicians on safe work practices and regulatory compliance requirements. Customer Service and Satisfaction: Interact with customers to understand their vehicle concerns, provide technical advice, and offer repair recommendations in a professional and courteous manner. Address customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues promptly, striving to achieve customer satisfaction and loyalty through effective communication and resolution.
