Job description

Team Management: Supervising and leading a team of automotive technicians, mechanics, and support staff. Assigning tasks, scheduling work shifts, and providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and productive operations. Technical Support: Providing technical assistance, expertise, and troubleshooting guidance to technicians and mechanics as needed. Resolving complex technical issues, diagnosing difficult problems, and offering solutions to ensure quality repairs and customer satisfaction. Workshop Coordination: Coordinating workflow and activities in the workshop to ensure timely completion of vehicle repairs, maintenance, and service tasks. Prioritizing work orders, allocating resources, and managing work schedules to meet customer expectations and service deadlines. Quality Assurance: Ensuring that repairs and service work meet quality standards, manufacturer specifications, and industry best practices. Conducting quality inspections, test drives, and final checks to verify the accuracy, completeness, and safety of vehicle repairs. Training and Development: Identifying training needs and opportunities for skill development among technical staff. Providing training, mentoring, and coaching to improve technical proficiency, diagnostic skills, and service delivery capabilities. Safety Compliance: Enforcing safety protocols, procedures, and regulations in the workshop to prevent accidents, injuries, and hazards. Ensuring that technicians use proper tools, equipment, and personal protective gear when working on vehicles. Equipment Maintenance: Overseeing the maintenance and calibration of workshop equipment, tools, and diagnostic devices. Scheduling routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure equipment reliability and accuracy. Parts and Inventory Management: Managing the inventory of spare parts, tools, consumables, and supplies needed for vehicle repairs and maintenance. Monitoring stock levels, ordering replenishments, and controlling inventory costs to optimize resource utilization. Customer Interaction: Interacting with customers to understand their vehicle concerns, provide updates on repair progress, and address any questions or concerns they may have. Providing excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service experience. Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of vehicle repairs, service work, parts used, and labor hours. Generating reports, documentation, and invoices for customers, management, and regulatory purposes. Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve workshop efficiency, productivity, and customer service quality. Implementing process improvements, workflow optimizations, and technology solutions to streamline operations and enhance service delivery. Compliance and Regulations: Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry guidelines governing automotive repair and service operations. Keeping abreast of regulatory changes, safety requirements, and environmental regulations affecting the automotive industry.
