The individual is responsible for work assignment to technicians on shop floor depending upon their skills and supervising service, repair and maintenance operations of the vehicle as per OEM guidelines within the expected time and cost to ensure minimum repeat complaints. Manages staff and operations of a technical area to include scheduling time, managing performance, supply and logistics, identifying training needs, and providing recommendations for personnel actions. Schedules and implements the smooth flow of general shop repairs and preventive maintenance workload for the physical plant and for other university departments. Communicates between customers and mechanics to eliminate inefficiency and comeback repairs.
