Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of automotive technicians, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance and support to ensure the team's productivity and effectiveness. Technical Expertise: Possess advanced knowledge of automotive systems, components, and repair techniques to effectively supervise and assist technicians in diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical issues. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures and procedures to ensure that all repairs and maintenance services meet industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and customer expectations for quality and reliability. Workshop Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the automotive workshop, including scheduling work assignments, managing workflow, and coordinating resources to optimize efficiency and productivity. Diagnostic Assistance: Provide technical assistance and guidance to technicians in diagnosing vehicle problems, interpreting diagnostic data, and selecting appropriate repair solutions. Parts and Inventory Management: Manage parts inventory, procurement, and stocking processes to ensure availability of necessary parts and supplies for timely completion of repairs and maintenance services. Training and Development: Identify training needs and opportunities for skill development among technicians. Provide training, mentoring, and coaching to enhance technical proficiency and performance. Customer Service: Interact with customers to discuss vehicle issues, explain repair recommendations, and address concerns or questions. Ensure that customers receive clear, accurate, and courteous communication throughout the service process. Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and workplace health and safety protocols within the automotive workshop. Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to safety procedures among team members. Diagnostic Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of diagnostic equipment, tools, and machinery used in the workshop to ensure accurate and reliable diagnostic testing and repair procedures. Problem-solving Skills: Analyze complex automotive issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions to resolve technical problems and challenges encountered during repairs and diagnostics. Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and management through verbal communication, written documentation, and digital communication channels. Ensure clear and concise communication of technical information and instructions. Time Management: Manage time and resources efficiently to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain workflow continuity in a fast-paced automotive service environment. Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of departmental budgets, monitoring expenses, and controlling costs related to labor, parts, and equipment to ensure profitability and financial sustainability. Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in automotive repair and maintenance.
