While supervisors may not perform hands-on repairs themselves, they need sufficient technical knowledge to support and guide technicians, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure quality workmanship. Quality Control: Monitoring the quality of repairs and maintenance services performed by technicians. Technical supervisors conduct inspections, test drives, and final checks to verify that vehicles meet manufacturer standards and customer expectations. Training and Development: Providing training, coaching, and mentoring to technicians to enhance their skills, knowledge, and productivity. This includes staying updated on new technologies and repair techniques through ongoing education and manufacturer-sponsored training programs. Customer Interaction: Interfacing with customers to discuss vehicle issues, explain repair recommendations, and provide estimates. Technical supervisors may handle escalated customer concerns, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues to maintain customer satisfaction.
