Team Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of automotive technicians, mechanics, and apprentices. Provide guidance, direction, and support to ensure that work is performed efficiently, accurately, and according to quality standards. Workshop Management: Manage the daily operations of the automotive workshop or service center. Coordinate work schedules, assign tasks, and prioritize repairs to optimize workflow and maximize productivity. Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance to automotive technicians and mechanics as needed. Offer guidance, advice, and solutions for diagnosing and repairing complex automotive issues. Diagnostic Assistance: Assist in diagnosing challenging or complex vehicle problems that require advanced diagnostic skills or specialized equipment. Work closely with technicians to troubleshoot issues and develop effective repair strategies. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all repairs and maintenance tasks meet quality standards, manufacturer specifications, and industry best practices. Conduct inspections and quality checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of work performed. Training and Development: Train, mentor, and coach automotive technicians and apprentices to enhance their technical skills, knowledge, and proficiency. Provide opportunities for ongoing training, certification, and professional development. Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to discuss repair recommendations, explain technical issues, and address concerns or inquiries. Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring clear communication, transparency, and satisfaction with repair services. Parts and Inventory Management: Oversee parts procurement, inventory management, and stock replenishment activities. Maintain adequate inventory levels of automotive parts, supplies, and consumables to support repair operations. Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments used in automotive repair are properly maintained, calibrated, and in good working condition. Perform regular inspections and maintenance to prevent equipment failures and downtime. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for automotive technicians and staff. Promote adherence to safety protocols, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe work practices. Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the performance of automotive technicians and mechanics in terms of productivity, efficiency, and quality of work. Provide feedback, coaching, and performance reviews to support continuous improvement.
