Job description

Inventory Management: Manage spare parts inventory levels, including ordering, stocking, replenishment, and rotation to ensure adequate availability of parts while minimizing excess inventory and obsolescence. Parts Ordering: Place orders with suppliers or manufacturers to replenish stock, ensuring timely delivery, accurate quantities, and competitive pricing, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors to negotiate terms and resolve issues. Parts Identification: Identify and catalog spare parts based on manufacturer part numbers, descriptions, and specifications, ensuring accurate labeling, categorization, and storage for easy retrieval and distribution. Parts Sales: Assist customers and service technicians in identifying and selecting the appropriate spare parts for vehicle repairs or maintenance, providing technical assistance, pricing information, and availability status as needed. Sales Support: Provide support to sales staff and service advisors by supplying spare parts for vehicle sales, warranty repairs, aftermarket installations, and customer requests, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of parts delivery. Parts Pricing: Establish pricing strategies for spare parts based on cost, market demand, competitor pricing, and profit margins, and review pricing regularly to optimize profitability while remaining competitive in the market. Parts Returns and Warranty Claims: Process returns of defective or unused parts, issue refunds or replacements as needed, and facilitate warranty claims with suppliers or manufacturers to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with warranty policies. Inventory Analysis: Analyze inventory data, sales trends, and demand forecasts to identify slow-moving or obsolete parts, recommend inventory adjustments, promotions, or liquidation strategies to optimize inventory turnover and maximize profitability. Warehouse Management: Oversee the organization, cleanliness, and safety of the parts warehouse or storage area, ensuring proper storage, handling, and disposal of parts, adherence to safety regulations, and maintenance of equipment and facilities. Team Supervision: Supervise and train spare parts department staff, including parts clerks, stockkeepers, and delivery personnel, to ensure productivity, accuracy, and teamwork in daily operations and customer service. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and facilitating special requests related to spare parts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of spare parts transactions, inventory levels, sales orders, invoices, and vendor communications using dealership or inventory management software systems, and generate reports as needed for analysis, reconciliation, or decision-making purposes.
