Job description

Inventory Management: Oversee the maintenance of spare parts inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory and obsolescence. Implement inventory control measures, such as regular stock counts, ABC analysis, and reorder point calculations, to optimize inventory turnover and availability. Procurement and Purchasing: Source and procure spare parts from suppliers, wholesalers, manufacturers, or distributors, negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to obtain favorable purchasing conditions. Evaluate supplier performance, assess product quality, and monitor lead times to ensure timely delivery and availability of parts for customer needs. Warehousing and Storage: Organize and maintain the storage and layout of spare parts inventory within the warehouse or parts department, utilizing efficient storage systems, shelving, and labeling techniques. Implement safety protocols, storage guidelines, and handling procedures to prevent damage, loss, or deterioration of spare parts during storage and handling. Sales and Customer Service: Assist customers in identifying and selecting the appropriate spare parts for their vehicles, providing technical advice, product recommendations, and pricing information as needed. Process spare parts sales transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper documentation, invoicing, and payment processing in compliance with company policies. Order Fulfillment and Distribution: Fulfill customer orders for spare parts promptly, picking, packing, and shipping parts accurately to meet customer deadlines and service commitments. Coordinate with shipping and logistics providers to arrange timely and cost-effective delivery of spare parts to customers, service centers, or other locations as required. Inventory Forecasting and Planning: Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer demand patterns to forecast future inventory needs and plan procurement strategies accordingly. Anticipate seasonal fluctuations, promotional events, and new vehicle launches to adjust inventory levels and stock assortments proactively. Parts Pricing and Margin Management: Set competitive pricing strategies for spare parts based on market conditions, competitor pricing, and cost considerations, balancing profitability with customer value and satisfaction. Monitor pricing trends, analyze profit margins, and adjust pricing levels as needed to maximize revenue and maintain pricing competitiveness. Supplier and Vendor Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with spare parts suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers, fostering open communication, collaboration, and mutual trust.
