Job description

Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of spare parts, components, and accessories for various makes and models of vehicles. Monitor stock levels, track inventory movements, and conduct regular stock counts to ensure accurate inventory records. Procurement and Purchasing: Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers to procure spare parts and automotive components. Place orders, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure timely delivery of parts to meet customer demand and service requirements. Stock Replenishment: Analyze demand forecasts, historical sales data, and inventory turnover rates to determine optimal stock levels for each spare part. Replenish stock as needed to maintain adequate inventory levels and minimize stockouts or backorders. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all spare parts and automotive components meet quality standards and specifications established by manufacturers and regulatory agencies. Verify the authenticity, compatibility, and condition of incoming parts through visual inspection and quality checks. Storage and Warehousing: Organize and maintain storage facilities, warehouses, or parts counters to store spare parts safely and efficiently. Implement proper storage techniques, including shelving, labeling, and inventory segregation, to optimize space utilization and accessibility. Inventory Tracking and Control: Implement inventory management systems or software tools to track stock movements, monitor inventory levels, and generate reports on stock status and usage patterns. Implement controls to prevent loss, theft, or damage to inventory items. Parts Identification and Cataloging: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date catalog of spare parts, components, and accessories, including part numbers, descriptions, and pricing information. Assist customers and service technicians in identifying the correct parts for specific vehicle models and repair needs. Order Fulfillment: Process customer orders for spare parts and automotive components promptly and accurately. Pick, pack, and ship orders efficiently to ensure timely delivery to customers or service departments. Customer Service and Support: Provide assistance and support to customers and service technicians regarding spare parts inquiries, availability, and pricing. Address customer concerns, resolve issues, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with spare parts purchases. Returns and Warranty Handling: Manage returns, exchanges, and warranty claims for defective or damaged spare parts. Follow established procedures for processing returns, issuing refunds or replacements, and coordinating with suppliers or manufacturers for warranty coverage. Cost Management: Monitor expenses related to spare parts procurement, storage, and distribution. Identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, and implement cost-control measures to optimize profitability and efficiency. Team Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and mentor spare parts department staff, including parts clerks, warehouse associates, and delivery drivers.
