Job description

Inventory Management: Oversee the procurement, storage, and management of spare parts inventory. Monitor stock levels, track inventory movements, and conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and availability of parts. Stock Replenishment: Forecast demand for spare parts based on historical sales data, customer orders, and industry trends. Place orders with suppliers to replenish stock levels and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer needs. Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers of automobile spare parts. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms for procurement. Quality Control: Ensure that all spare parts received meet quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, completeness, and condition, and reject or return defective or non-compliant parts. Sales and Customer Service: Assist customers in identifying and selecting the right spare parts for their vehicles. Provide product recommendations, pricing information, and technical assistance to customers. Process sales orders, prepare invoices, and facilitate payment transactions. Parts Identification and Cataloging: Maintain a comprehensive catalog or database of spare parts, including part numbers, descriptions, specifications, and pricing information. Use cataloging software or systems to identify and locate parts quickly and accurately. Order Fulfillment and Dispatch: Coordinate the picking, packing, and dispatch of spare parts orders to customers, service departments, or repair shops. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts to minimize downtime and meet customer expectations. Returns and Warranty Claims: Handle returns, exchanges, and warranty claims for defective or incorrect parts. Follow established procedures for processing returns, issuing refunds or replacements, and documenting return reasons for analysis and improvement. Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance to customers, mechanics, or service technicians regarding spare parts compatibility, installation, and troubleshooting. Offer guidance on part selection, installation procedures, and maintenance recommendations. Sales Reporting and Analysis: Generate sales reports, performance metrics, and inventory analysis to track sales trends, identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory, and optimize inventory turnover. Use data insights to make informed decisions about pricing, stocking, and promotions. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to spare parts management, sales, and distribution. Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, inventory movements, and warranty claims. Team Leadership and Training: Supervise and train spare parts staff, including sales associates, warehouse personnel, and administrative staff. Provide guidance, support, and coaching to develop team members' skills and competencies.
