Job description

Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of automobile spare parts, accessories, and components to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts. Procurement and Purchasing: Source, procure, and purchase spare parts from suppliers and manufacturers based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and lead times. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to optimize procurement costs and ensure timely availability of parts. Stock Control: Implement effective stock control measures, such as stock rotation, cycle counting, and inventory tracking systems, to monitor stock levels, prevent stockouts, and minimize shrinkage or loss. Warehousing and Storage: Organize and maintain the spare parts warehouse or storage area to optimize space utilization, facilitate efficient picking and packing operations, and ensure compliance with safety and security regulations. Order Fulfillment: Receive, process, and fulfill customer orders for spare parts, accessories, and components accurately and promptly. Coordinate with sales, service, and repair departments to ensure timely delivery of parts to customers or technicians. Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming spare parts shipments for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications and standards. Ensure that all parts meet quality assurance requirements before being added to inventory or sold to customers. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers by responding to inquiries, assisting with parts identification, pricing, and availability, and resolving customer complaints or issues related to spare parts. Technical Knowledge: Develop and maintain technical knowledge of automotive spare parts, components, and systems to assist customers and technicians with parts identification, selection, and compatibility. Documentation and Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of spare parts inventory, transactions, sales, and purchases using inventory management software or databases. Generate reports and analytics to track inventory performance, turnover, and profitability. Team Leadership: Supervise and train spare parts department staff, including parts associates, inventory clerks, and delivery drivers, to ensure efficient and effective operations. Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to team members to support their professional development and success.
