Job description

Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of automobile spare parts, including stock levels, reorder points, and replenishment schedules to ensure adequate availability of parts to meet customer demand and service requirements. Procurement: Source and purchase spare parts from suppliers, manufacturers, or distributors, negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules, and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely procurement and competitive pricing. Supplier Management: Evaluate and select reliable suppliers and vendors based on factors such as quality, reliability, pricing, and delivery performance, and manage relationships to resolve issues, address concerns, and optimize supply chain efficiency. Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming spare parts for quality, authenticity, and conformance to specifications, and ensure that parts meet industry standards, manufacturer requirements, and customer expectations. Stock Control: Implement stock control measures such as barcode labeling, bin location systems, and inventory tracking software to accurately monitor stock movements, minimize shrinkage, and prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Storage and Warehousing: Organize and maintain the storage and warehousing of spare parts in a safe, clean, and organized manner, ensuring proper labeling, shelving, and handling to facilitate easy retrieval, accurate picking, and efficient distribution. Order Fulfillment: Process and fulfill customer orders for spare parts in a timely and accurate manner, including picking, packing, and shipping parts to service centers, dealerships, or end customers according to priority and delivery requirements. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, transactions, receipts, and shipments using inventory management systems or software, and generate reports to track performance, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for improvement. Forecasting and Planning: Analyze historical sales data, demand forecasts, and market trends to anticipate future demand for spare parts, develop inventory plans and stocking strategies, and optimize inventory levels and product mix to minimize costs and maximize customer satisfaction. Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and support to service technicians, mechanics, and customers regarding spare parts identification, compatibility, installation, and troubleshooting to ensure proper fit and functionality of parts. Compliance and Regulation: Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to spare parts sourcing, procurement, storage, and distribution, including environmental regulations, safety standards, and import/export requirements. Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve spare parts management processes, systems, and procedures to streamline operations, reduce costs, enhance efficiency, and improve customer service levels.
