Inventory Management: You manage the inventory of spare parts, including ordering, stocking, and replenishing parts to maintain adequate levels and prevent stockouts. You monitor inventory levels, track stock movement, and conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies. Parts Procurement: You collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to procure spare parts and components for various makes and models of vehicles. You negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to obtain favorable agreements and ensure timely availability of parts. Parts Identification and Cataloging: You organize and catalog spare parts inventory using electronic parts management systems or manual cataloging methods. You ensure accurate labeling, coding, and categorization of parts for easy identification, retrieval, and tracking. Parts Sales and Distribution: You oversee the sales and distribution of spare parts to internal and external customers, including technicians, service advisors, retail customers, and wholesale clients. You process parts orders, fulfill customer requests, and coordinate shipping or delivery of parts as needed. Customer Service: You provide assistance and support to customers inquiring about spare parts availability, pricing, and compatibility. You assist customers in identifying the correct parts for their vehicles, offering recommendations and alternatives when necessary, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Technical Support: You provide technical support and guidance to technicians and service advisors regarding spare parts selection, installation, and troubleshooting. You offer expertise on parts compatibility, fitment, and installation procedures to ensure accurate and efficient repairs. Vendor Management: You establish and maintain relationships with spare parts vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure reliable and cost-effective sourcing of parts. You evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and address any issues or concerns related to quality, pricing, or delivery. Quality Assurance: You ensure that spare parts meet quality standards and specifications set by manufacturers and regulatory authorities. You inspect incoming parts for defects, damage, or discrepancies and take appropriate action to address any issues, such as returning defective parts or initiating warranty claims. Parts Pricing and Profitability: You set pricing strategies for spare parts based on factors such as cost, demand, competition, and market trends. You analyze sales data and profitability metrics to optimize pricing, margins, and inventory turnover while maximizing revenue and profitability for the spare parts department. Documentation and Reporting: You maintain accurate records of spare parts transactions, including sales, purchases, returns, and adjustments.
