Job description

Inventory Management: Overseeing the stock of spare parts, ensuring accurate counts, and maintaining optimal inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing excess or obsolete stock. Procurement: Identifying reliable suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, and placing orders for spare parts to replenish inventory as needed. Monitoring supplier performance and evaluating alternative sources to ensure cost-effectiveness and availability. Receiving and Inspection: Receiving incoming shipments of spare parts, verifying contents against purchase orders, and inspecting parts for damage or defects. Ensuring that all received parts meet quality standards before being accepted into inventory. Storage and Organization: Implementing efficient storage systems and layouts to maximize space utilization and facilitate easy retrieval of spare parts. Organizing inventory according to part numbers, categories, or other relevant criteria for quick identification and access. Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of spare parts inventory, including receipts, invoices, stock levels, and movements. Using inventory management software or systems to track transactions, monitor stock levels, and generate reports as needed. Distribution: Fulfilling requests for spare parts from internal departments or external customers in a timely manner. Ensuring that the correct parts are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately to avoid delays or errors in service or repair operations. Quality Control: Implementing quality control measures to ensure that all spare parts meet specified standards and specifications.
