Customer Interaction: Greeting customers in person or over the phone, listening to their concerns, and discussing their vehicle service needs and preferences. Vehicle Inspection: Performing preliminary vehicle inspections or assessments to identify maintenance issues or repair needs, and communicating findings to customers. Service Recommendations: Providing expert advice and recommendations to customers regarding necessary or recommended vehicle maintenance services, repairs, and parts replacements based on manufacturer recommendations, vehicle condition, and customer budget. Estimates and Quotations: Providing customers with accurate cost estimates and quotations for recommended services or repairs, including labor, parts, and taxes, and explaining pricing breakdowns in a clear and transparent manner. Scheduling: Assisting customers with scheduling service appointments at convenient times, coordinating service timelines with available appointment slots and customer preferences. Customer Education: Educating customers about the importance of regular vehicle maintenance, recommended service intervals, and the benefits of specific maintenance services or repairs in terms of safety, performance, and longevity of their vehicles. Communication: Keeping customers informed about the status of their vehicles throughout the service process, providing updates on service progress, any additional repairs or parts needed, and estimated completion times. Upselling and Cross-selling: Identifying opportunities to upsell additional services or products, such as preventative maintenance packages, tire rotations, wheel alignments, or accessory installations, to enhance customer satisfaction and maximize revenue. Quality Assurance: Ensuring that all service work meets quality standards and complies with manufacturer specifications and dealership policies, and addressing any customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally. Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, service appointments, vehicle inspections, service recommendations, estimates, invoices, and payment transactions in the dealership's database or customer management system. Technical Knowledge: Possessing a solid understanding of automotive systems, components, and maintenance procedures, as well as familiarity with manufacturer service manuals, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques to effectively communicate with customers and service technicians. Team Collaboration: Collaborating with service technicians, parts advisors, and other dealership staff to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of exceptional customer service and vehicle care.
