Job description

Electrical System Installation: Install electrical systems and components in vehicles, including wiring harnesses, batteries, alternators, starter motors, ignition systems, lighting systems, sensors, and electronic control units (ECUs). Diagnostic Testing: Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot electrical issues in vehicles. Diagnose problems such as electrical shorts, open circuits, faulty components, and wiring harness malfunctions. Repair and Maintenance: Repair or replace faulty electrical components to restore functionality and performance. This may involve repairing damaged wiring, soldering connections, replacing fuses, relays, switches, or repairing/replacing electronic modules. Battery Services: Test, charge, replace, and maintain vehicle batteries to ensure proper operation and longevity. Perform load tests, voltage checks, and terminal cleaning to optimize battery performance. Alternator and Starter Services: Test, repair, and replace alternators and starter motors to ensure proper charging and starting functions. Check voltage output, current draw, and mechanical condition to diagnose and address issues. Lighting System Services: Inspect, repair, and replace lighting components such as headlights, taillights, turn signals, brake lights, and interior lights. Ensure proper alignment, functionality, and compliance with regulations. Accessory Installation: Install aftermarket electrical accessories such as audio systems, navigation systems, security alarms, remote starters, power windows, central locking systems, and auxiliary lighting. Electrical Upgrades: Perform electrical upgrades to enhance vehicle performance, safety, and convenience. This may include upgrading wiring, installing additional power outlets, upgrading lighting systems, or adding advanced electronic features. Wiring Harness Repair and Replacement: Repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning wiring harnesses to restore electrical connectivity and prevent electrical issues. Use proper splicing, crimping, and soldering techniques to ensure secure connections. Electrical System Upgrades: Perform electrical system upgrades to accommodate modifications such as engine swaps, custom lighting installations, audio system upgrades, or performance enhancements. Electrical System Inspections: Conduct routine inspections of vehicle electrical systems to identify potential issues before they escalate. Check for signs of wear, corrosion, or damage and perform preventive maintenance as needed. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of electrical repairs, installations, and maintenance activities. Document diagnostic findings, repair procedures, parts used, and labor hours for billing and warranty purposes.
