Job description

Electrical System Diagnosis: Diagnose electrical issues and malfunctions in vehicles by using diagnostic tools, meters, and schematics to identify faulty components, wiring problems, or circuit faults affecting vehicle operation. Battery Services: Test, charge, and replace vehicle batteries as needed, ensuring proper voltage, capacity, and connections to support electrical system performance and starting reliability. Starter and Alternator Repair: Inspect, test, and repair starter motors and alternators to ensure proper function and charging of the vehicle's electrical system, including testing voltage output, replacing brushes, or rebuilding components as needed. Wiring Repairs and Modifications: Repair or replace damaged or faulty wiring harnesses, connectors, switches, and relays to restore electrical continuity, prevent short circuits, and ensure safe and reliable operation of vehicle systems. Lighting Systems: Install, repair, and adjust lighting systems including headlights, taillights, turn signals, brake lights, and interior lighting, ensuring proper alignment, brightness, and functionality for visibility and safety. Electrical Accessories Installation: Install aftermarket electrical accessories such as audio systems, navigation devices, security alarms, remote starters, power windows, and central locking systems, ensuring proper integration and compatibility with the vehicle's electrical system. Electronics Diagnostics: Diagnose and repair electronic components and modules such as engine control units (ECUs), body control modules (BCMs), anti-lock braking systems (ABS), airbag systems, and traction control systems, using specialized diagnostic equipment and software. Heating and Cooling Systems: Troubleshoot and repair electrical components of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, including blower motors, fans, resistors, relays, and temperature controls, to maintain climate control functionality. Instrumentation and Gauges: Test, calibrate, and repair instrument clusters, gauges, and dashboard indicators to ensure accurate readings and display of vehicle speed, engine RPM, fuel level, temperature, and warning lights. Safety Systems: Inspect and repair electrical components of safety systems such as airbags, seatbelt pre-tensioners, traction control, and stability control systems to ensure proper deployment and operation in the event of a collision or emergency. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of electrical repairs, replacements, and modifications performed on vehicles, including parts used, labor hours, diagnostic findings, and customer communication, to track service history and facilitate warranty claims or future repairs.
