Job description

Diagnostic Testing: Using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify electrical issues in vehicles. This may involve troubleshooting problems with lighting, starting, charging, or other electrical systems using multimeters, circuit testers, and diagnostic scanners. Repair and Maintenance: Performing repairs or replacements on faulty electrical components, such as wiring, fuses, relays, switches, connectors, and electronic control modules. This includes soldering, splicing, crimping, and connecting wires to restore electrical functionality. Battery Services: Inspecting, testing, and replacing vehicle batteries as needed. This includes checking battery voltage, terminal connections, and electrolyte levels, as well as cleaning terminals and performing battery load tests to assess performance. Charging System Services: Diagnosing and repairing issues with the vehicle's charging system, including alternators, voltage regulators, and wiring. This involves testing alternator output, inspecting drive belts, and troubleshooting charging system warning lights. Starting System Services: Addressing problems with the vehicle's starting system, including the starter motor, solenoid, ignition switch, and wiring. This may involve testing starter current draw, inspecting starter relays, and diagnosing issues with the ignition system. Lighting System Services: Repairing or replacing malfunctioning lights, bulbs, and lighting control systems. This includes headlights, taillights, turn signals, brake lights, interior lights, and dashboard indicators. Accessory Installation: Installing aftermarket electrical accessories, such as audio systems, alarms, GPS navigation systems, backup cameras, and auxiliary lighting. This involves routing wiring, mounting components, and integrating accessories into the vehicle's electrical system. Electrical Upgrades: Upgrading vehicle electrical systems to improve performance, reliability, or functionality. This may include installing higher-capacity alternators, upgrading wiring harnesses, or retrofitting modern electronic features into older vehicles. Electrical System Inspections: Conducting comprehensive inspections of vehicle electrical systems to identify potential issues or areas of concern.
