Job description

Electrical System Diagnosis: Identifying and diagnosing electrical problems in vehicles, including issues with wiring, circuits, switches, relays, fuses, and electronic components. Automobile electricians use diagnostic tools, such as multimeters, circuit testers, and scan tools, to troubleshoot electrical faults accurately. Repair and Maintenance: Repairing or replacing faulty electrical components to restore proper functionality to vehicle electrical systems. This may involve repairing damaged wiring, replacing blown fuses, fixing faulty switches or relays, and addressing issues with lighting, instrumentation, or accessory systems. Battery Testing and Replacement: Testing vehicle batteries to assess their condition, voltage, and performance. Automobile electricians perform load tests, voltage tests, and battery capacity tests to determine if a battery needs to be replaced. They also install new batteries and ensure proper connections and charging system operation. Starter and Alternator Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnosing problems with the starting and charging systems, including issues with starters, alternators, and related components. Automobile electricians test starters and alternators for proper operation, voltage output, and current draw, and repair or replace defective components as needed.
