Job description

Electrical System Installation: Installing electrical systems in vehicles, including wiring harnesses, batteries, alternators, starters, ignition systems, lighting systems, and electronic control units (ECUs). Ensuring proper routing and connection of wiring to components. Accessory Installation: Installing aftermarket electrical accessories and components, such as audio systems, navigation systems, security systems, lighting upgrades, and power accessories (e.g., power windows, door locks). Diagnostic Testing: Using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify electrical problems and faults in vehicle systems. Conducting tests to determine the cause of issues, such as voltage checks, continuity tests, and circuit tracing. Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting electrical problems and malfunctions, such as faulty wiring, blown fuses, short circuits, and voltage irregularities. Using wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals to locate and resolve issues. Repair and Replacement: Repairing or replacing damaged or malfunctioning electrical components, such as wiring, connectors, switches, relays, fuses, and sensors. Ensuring that repairs are performed according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Electrical Upgrades: Upgrading electrical systems and components to improve performance, efficiency, or functionality. Installing high-performance components, upgrading wiring, or integrating advanced electronic features. Customization: Customizing electrical systems to meet specific customer requirements or preferences. Integrating custom lighting, audio, or electronic features into vehicle interiors or exteriors. Safety Systems: Installing and servicing safety-related electrical systems, such as airbag systems, antilock braking systems (ABS), traction control systems (TCS), and electronic stability control (ESC) systems. Ensuring that safety systems are functioning properly and meet regulatory standards. Preventive Maintenance: Performing preventive maintenance on electrical systems to prevent issues and ensure reliability. Inspecting wiring, connectors, and components for signs of wear, corrosion, or damage. Cleaning and lubricating electrical contacts as needed. Software Updates: Updating software and firmware in vehicle ECUs and electronic modules to address performance issues, add new features, or improve compatibility with aftermarket accessories. Customer Interaction: Interacting with customers to understand their concerns, provide recommendations, and explain repair options. Communicating technical information in a clear and understandable manner. Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of electrical repairs, installations, and services performed. Documenting parts used, work performed, and diagnostic findings for customer records and billing purposes.
