Job description

Design and Engineering: Collaborate with clients, engineers, and designers to develop customized vehicle body designs and specifications that meet their functional, aesthetic, and regulatory requirements. Fabrication: Fabricate vehicle bodies and structural components using materials such as steel, aluminum, fiberglass, or composite materials, employing cutting, welding, bending, and shaping techniques to achieve the desired shapes and dimensions. Assembly: Assemble and integrate fabricated body components, panels, doors, windows, roofs, and other features to create complete vehicle bodies, ensuring proper alignment, fitment, and functionality according to design specifications. Customization: Customize vehicle bodies to accommodate specialized equipment, accessories, or modifications required for specific applications, such as refrigeration units, cargo compartments, utility beds, or passenger seating configurations. Surface Preparation: Prepare vehicle bodies for finishing processes by sanding, grinding, priming, and sealing surfaces to ensure smoothness, adhesion, and durability of paint or protective coatings. Painting and Finishing: Apply paint, decals, graphics, or protective coatings to vehicle bodies using spray guns, brushes, or rollers, following color schemes, branding guidelines, or customer preferences to achieve desired aesthetics and branding. Installation and Integration: Install and integrate vehicle systems and components such as electrical wiring, lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), audio/video systems, communication equipment, and safety features into the body structure as required. Quality Control: Conduct quality inspections and tests on completed vehicle bodies to verify structural integrity, dimensional accuracy, functionality of installed components, and compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards. Safety Compliance: Ensure that vehicle bodies meet safety standards and regulations governing structural integrity, crashworthiness, occupant protection, and vehicle stability, including certifications such as ROPS (rollover protection system) or FOPS (falling object protection system) where applicable. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of vehicle body specifications, materials used, construction techniques, inspection results, and compliance documentation to demonstrate adherence to quality standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements. Customer Service: Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and repair services to customers, including warranty repairs, replacement parts, and technical assistance, to ensure satisfaction and longevity of the vehicle bodies.
