Job description

Design and Planning: Collaborating with clients to understand their requirements and preferences for the design and functionality of the vehicle body. This may involve creating sketches, CAD (computer-aided design) models, or 3D renderings to visualize the proposed modifications or customizations. Fabrication: Fabricating or modifying vehicle body components using various materials such as steel, aluminum, fiberglass, or composite materials. This includes cutting, shaping, welding, and assembling structural elements to construct or modify the body shell, chassis, frame, panels, and other structural components. Customization: Customizing vehicle bodies to meet specific needs, such as designing and building specialized cargo compartments, utility beds, flatbeds, trailers, refrigerated compartments, or other bespoke configurations tailored to the client's requirements. Integration of Components: Integrating mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components into the vehicle body as needed. This may include installing doors, windows, hatches, access panels, lighting systems, hydraulic lifts, or other functional features. Painting and Finishing: Preparing surfaces and applying paint, coatings, or finishes to the vehicle body to enhance durability, appearance, and corrosion resistance. This may involve sanding, priming, painting, clear-coating, and detailing the bodywork to achieve a high-quality finish. Installation of Accessories: Installing additional accessories or equipment onto the vehicle body, such as bumpers, guards, racks, toolboxes, winches, or signage, to enhance functionality or meet specific requirements. Structural Reinforcement: Strengthening or reinforcing the vehicle body to accommodate heavy loads, towing capacities, or off-road use. This may involve adding bracing, gussets, reinforcements, or roll cages to enhance structural integrity and safety. Compliance and Certification: Ensuring that vehicle modifications comply with relevant safety regulations, standards, and certification requirements. This may involve conducting structural integrity tests, impact tests, or other evaluations to certify the safety and performance of modified vehicles. Quality Control: Performing quality checks and inspections throughout the body building process to verify dimensional accuracy, structural integrity, fitment, and finish quality. Addressing any defects or issues to ensure that the final product meets or exceeds customer expectations. Documentation and Records: Maintaining detailed documentation of the body building process, including design specifications, fabrication techniques, material specifications, compliance documentation, and warranty information. Providing documentation to clients for reference and regulatory compliance.
